Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way | Susan McCutcheon, Peter Rosegg, Erick Ingraham
post image

I'm behind! Dang school getting in the way of Litsy. :) Here's a #subjectilove - #naturalchildbirth and #breastfeeding. I'm done with babies, but I love talking about these, still. #17booklove @jess.how

slategreyskies I had a natural childbirth at home with a midwife. I kinda get a kick out of telling my son which bedroom in which house he was born in. 😂 8y
Krisjericho @slategreyskies Me too, with my youngest! He was born in a kiddie pool in the living room, which cracks him up. :) (edited) 8y
slategreyskies That is awesome! ❤️ 8y

Mommamanzi Currently nursing my youngest while I'm suppose to be reading but I'm going through litsy instead lol. 8y
julesG Wonderful topic. 8y
julesG I can also recommend Birthing from Within. (I had two homebirths, best decision ever!) 8y

Ever since I watched Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (my 8th favorite movie of all time) back in high school, ancient Japan and Samurai lore have been a #subjectIlove @jess.how #17booklove

Leniverse I'm not sure I can do a top 10 movies list, but I can certainly state agreement that Ghost Dog is excellent. ❤️ 8y
LeahBergen Have you ever seen Haruki Kadokawa's Heaven and Earth? I was a samurai extra in that movie. 😂 #FunFact 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @LeahBergen I have! That is awesome! 8y

LeahBergen Have you read 8y

LeahBergen It's fiction (and really violent and full of profanities, if you're okay with that) but so good. 8y
Leelee08 @LeahBergen I have that on my iPad right now but I haven't started it yet! I need to bump it up!😀 8y
cewilf Love! What's the light grey book? 8y
Leelee08 @cewilf It's a novelization of Herman Melville's life called The Handsome Sailor.💙⚓️ 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk You and my brother love the exact same weirdly specific subject. I'm going to use this picture for gift ideas. 8y
Leelee08 @TobeyTheScavengerMonk Ha! That's awesome! He should be on Litsy😊😊 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk I'll suggest it! He's halfway through the Aubrey & Maturin books right now. 8y

We Should All Be Feminists | Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
post image

A #SubjectILove - feminism! As I am becoming more woke I love reading about feminism in all shades and sizes: non-fiction, fairy tales, fantasy, graphic novels, poetry - just everything I can get my hands on. So if you have any recommendations for any must read books about feminism, please throw them my way 🙏

#17BookLove

I-read-and-eat Love this picture! So many beautiful books 😍 8y
Merethebookgal Ooh, I love that edition of The Handmaid's Tale! Where did you get it? 8y
britt_brooke Nice photo! 📷👌🏻 8y

Weaponxgirl It's easier to ask from what view do you want to look at feminism on for recommendations? I just keep finding more areas I wish to explore the more I read on it but as a primer I love Caitlin Moran as she's funny and down to earth but I have so many feminist books I love to talk about 8y
Nebklvr Nimona! 8y
Kalalalatja @Merethebookgal I bought it online, it is from Bloomsbury's anniversary editions of seven Atwood novels 👌 8y
Kalalalatja @MrsMalaprop that sounds really interesting, thank you! 8y
Kalalalatja @Weaponxgirl I have read How to built a Girl and heard Caitlin Moran speak a couple of years ago when she was in Denmark, and that is sort of how I started being more interested in feminism. I don't really have a particular view, but I love something with a bit of humour, but also informative. If is in fiction I just love strong, female characters 👍 8y
Kalalalatja @I-read-and-eat @britt_brooke thanks! 💕 8y

#subjectilove the top book;Kieslowski on Kieslowski isn't in the Litsy Database. It's one of my favourite movie autobiographies. My next love after books is definitely movies, not pictured are some of my favourite movies directed by Kitano 'Beat' Takeshi. Hana-Bi my fav. He's a great actor as well as director ❤️📚🎞📽

squarepeginroundhole I like your collection. I love Beat too. Sonatine was the first of his that I saw and loved it. And the Double Life of Veronique by KK - loved it. 8y
DeborahSmall @squarepeginroundhole Sonantine was my first too. I love Three Colours but definitely think Double life was his best. I just love Irène Jacob. 8y
squarepeginroundhole Irene Jacob is wonderful. I think we may have similar tastes in movies. And your copy of Cohen Bros; Barton Fink & Miller's Crossing are my fave of theirs! 😃😃 8y

DeborahSmall @squarepeginroundhole yeah, sounds like it. Millers Crossing my favourite Coen brothers, prefer it to most of their later movies 8y
squarepeginroundhole I agree. J. Turturro was so awesome in M. crossing! 8y
DeborahSmall @squarepeginroundhole I loved him as Jesus in big Lebowski, small part but hilarious. Such a versatile actor 8y
squarepeginroundhole Yes, I almost forgot about Jesus, but you can't forget his Jesus!!1🤣🤣 8y

Genealogy is a #subjectilove, but I have been working my way through this one sloooowly. I usually think of myself as quick witted, but not when it comes to genetics apparently. 😝 #17booklove

AlaMich I vaguely remember something about eye color and fruit flies from biology...👁 8y
SaraFair I love genealogy too! Let us know how this turns out- is it hard to follow? 8y
