TheAromaofBooksIn the last chapter Agnes mentioned the biblical parable of the rich man who had many sheep, but when an unexpected visitor arrives, he takes his poor neighbor's only lamb to serve it for supper. I kept thinking about that throughout this chapter as Rosalie used her power not just to try and win over Mr. W, but to actively sabotage Agnes's character/any chance of future happiness along the way.2y
