I‘m absolutely loving this series. Can‘t believe I just found out about it this summer, but here we are. I‘m on book three right now, and they keep getting better. Terrific characters, somewhat Byzantine plots (especially the first book) and laugh out loud lines. I‘m buying them used through Thrift books, and it feels like I‘ve constantly got an order in to them. Probably because I do. 🤷🏻♀️
It‘s a beauty weekend here in Michigan.
This collection of short mysteries featuring early cases investigated by Inspector Montalbano is a low pick, as the quality of the stories are mixed. However, I always enjoy spending time with Montalbano and friends.
The setting on Sicily is perfect for prompt 8 (“Features the ocean“) of #52bookclub24.

This is the house, Casa Cuseni, I stayed in last year when I visited Taormina, Italy. It has a very interesting history. I stayed in the room that Greta Garbo frequented. This house was the perfect place to stay, with its antiques, art and gorgeous gardens. The view of Mt Etna from our terrace was amazing! The house also has a dining room that contains a mural painted on the walls of its original owner Robert Kitson, his lover and their adopted ⬇️
