Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a #FreedomFighter as she fought for gender equality and was a champion for the rights of so many others who were marginalized. I feel bad that this book is still in my #TBR stack but I am hoping to get to it in 2020. #RiPRBG

Reading this book this weekend was an act of mourning for me. May her memory be for blessing. #ripRBG

This day has given an emotional weight to reading this chapter. The struggle to be treated as (and to believe you are) equal and capable and valuable when you have been raised to not take yourself seriously and to believe you are fundamentally inferior is arduous. There is no specific marker you can point to and say: “When X happens the work will be done.” As Woolf saw, legislation isn‘t enough alone, but oh my god, it is necessary. #RIPRBG

This queen just died. I am terrified for America right now. We can only hope for women‘s rights, minority rights, immigrant‘s rights, LGBTQIA rights, human rights, that the House can prevent Trump from pushing another conservative judge through before the end of January.
