I went to a wreath-making event with some friends from work last night. Mine turned out a little wonky, and there isn't a discernable hole, but it still looks ok above the fireplace!

This book is great for young teens, 64 pages long, published in 1998, about a girl who wants revenge and ends up scaring herself. A great spooky tale. #ISpyBingoOctober @TheAromaofBooks
I loved Hopkins‘ Crank & hoped Sync would pack the same emotional punch. While definitely a tragic story, I felt the novel told in verse would have been better told in prose. The verses here were sometimes more like sparse paragraphs & unfortunately what seemed missing to me was the feeling behind the words.
Storm & Lake have been dealt a tough hand more difficulties find them. At times it gets bleak, but it ends on a note of hope which I liked.
Here is my overly ambitious TBR for December. We are spending a week at my in-law's place, so perhaps I'll get more reading done than usual. This will also be my #bookspinbingo board for the month.

Ruby lives with her aunt Matoo while her mom is in prison. She is cautious with friendships - how do you even talk about that with peers?! So many secrets to wonder about - there is an “inside” Ruby and an “outside“ Ruby, and that‘s a lot for a young girl.
