Someone's Listening | Seraphina Nova Glass

This is a hard one to review. While I enjoyed the mystery (what happened to Liam, who was sending threatening messages to Faith), I really didn‘t like Faith as a character. Her constant disregard for safety & listening to the police and her lawyer‘s advice, & her excessive drinking and self-medicating, I wanted to shake her & tell her to make better choices. However, I did go back & forth between who could be behind it all & that was a lot of fun.

Only 21 pages in and already *countless* eating disorder triggers. Wowza. I don‘t have an ED, but I have three daughters. This would absolutely trigger two of them. A little shocked.

So I am going to go with “so-so“ on this one just because... I felt like it was too fast. And with so much going on, I would have liked to sit with the characters a little longer. I had a hard time figuring out who was who at times (and if it was a bit longer, I think that would have sorted itself out). But of course. I LOVE ❤️ #AudibleOriginals - they make a great #AudioChore pick

A little horror, a little gore, a little paranormal, a little haunted house, a lot of thriller. Just my kind of book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

That‘s just how friendships become in your thirties, I think as I head south. The love is still there, but the urgency for that constant companionship fades, replaced by something else—romantic partnerships, yes, but maybe we also just get tired 👯‍♀️

Well, not scary, I can say that. It‘s really more of a mystery than a horror novel. The main character was annoying and that sort of undermined her story. As a toddler, her father hacked her mother and brothers to death and then slit his own throat, but left her untouched. 25 years later, the house where it happened becomes available and she decides to move in. As you would. 😬 The story had potential, but didn‘t live up to its promise.

Another hotel and another from this series I think the final book. Another compelling case and interesting insight into sociopath Gretchen‘s mind and approach to work. Solid procedural

I listened to this just before we left for our trip, and already, I can't recall some of the details. I didn't like the main character, which took the air out of one of the revelations, but there was a real sense of menace. The villain was very villainy.

I've enjoyed this author's books before and this one was very good also. Not exactly edge of your seat thriller or a mystery, but more of a story of friendships. Some tense moments yes, but friendships that are strained.

smith joy Hi, I enjoyed reading your book. It was evident that it didn't have enough reviews or followers, though. How would you respond to that? 7mo

An interesting read about friendship, lies and social media!
