I was finally able to fill one of the more difficult #52bookclub categories, “Author debut in second half of 2024.“ I've read a number of novels by Andrew Pyper, but this is his debut under the pseudonym Mason Coile.

This short novel is a spooky haunted house story featuring AI “monsters“. I didn't enjoy it as much as the other Pyper works I've read, but as it was set on Hallowe'en day, it was a good one to read this week.

This thriller, about an FBI agent hunting a serial killer, kept me reading late into the night!

I absolutely loved this book. It's about a group of friends who get trapped on a private island in Florida by a killer mist. There, they must confront their pasts to find their powers in order to escape 💜

Did a readathon with @Lin3han this weekend. Since we both loved Summer Sons, we went with Mandelo‘s new novella, which was dripping in southern gothic. He captures summer in the south soooo well, and his spooky horror has made southern gothic one of my favorite subgenres. I will protect Les and Stevie with my life!!
