4✨ What a cute story. A story Tolkien wrote for his son who lost his little toy dog. The story follows Rover on an adventure when he is lost by his little boy. It‘s so cute and something similar happened to me as a kid. #FellowshipofTolkien @Daisey @JazzFeathers
1. My mom is in town and I need to try to see her one evening. My children are with their dad so mostly working.
2. Ceylon tea with milk.
3. Usually scraps of paper, whatever is to hand 🙈
4. Tagged. I have a Jill Paton Walsh to start after this.
Thanks for the tag, @Monica5 !
Finally, I‘m getting around to this one. 😅 #FellowshipofTolkien @Daisey @JazzFeathers
I read this story over 20 years ago, loved it and couldn't find a copy again until I found the volume Tales from the perilous realm at the library on Saturday. It was a lovely reread although I was more deeply moved the first time.
So, l finally agree with my boss a different arrangement of my shifts. From today, l should have more time to dedicate to my passions.
I expect this will positively impact my activity on Litsy too 😁
Post 1/2: When I read ”Of the Flight of the Noldor” now after reading the History of Middle-Earth (HoME), I always miss the actual inclusion of the oath of Fëanor and his sons. Reading the words feels so much more dramatic than only a narrative description. So, I‘m sharing two versions. This is the version from the tagged book.

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and am only just getting around to posting it. I thought the #FellowshipofTolkien might enjoy this “Spell in the Library” with a delightful poet, scholar, and priest, reading from and chatting about “The Adventures of Tom Bombadil.” Malcolm Guite is an absolute treasure… and he reminds me of a hobbit. 😁

#FellowshipOfTolkien Readers,
Life has been a busy and I realized last night that I‘ve yet to share a schedule for The Silmarillion. I adjusted a previous schedule to include weekly catch up days since I know many of us are reading multiple things and The Silmarillion can be hard reading. I‘m so looking forward to reading this again with you all! I‘d love to see your edition as we get started.
