So good! Loved on #audio as she read it and it was wonderful to hear it in her iconic voice. I loved the musical recording pieces they added into the audiobook. What an amazing creative life she has led, I am so thankful for the art that she has put into the world. She is a national treasure! #BookspinBingo Counting as two spaces since it was 48 hours long! @TheAromaofBooks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

JanuarieTimewalker13 I‘m listening now!! It‘s great, but I will probably have to put on hold again with my library…it‘s still in great demand! 3w
Julsmarshall @JanuarieTimewalker13 It is so long too! 3w
JanuarieTimewalker13 I know!! But so worth it!! I saw The Owl and The Pussycat a couple of days ago and I‘m waiting for the DVDs of Hello Dolly and Funny Girl from my library. I‘m just past the point of What‘s Up Doc, which I saw years ago but would like to revisit…can‘t believe she sold her percentage back….and the 70%!tax rate was interesting, now the super wealthy dodge taxes like crazy…there‘s got to be some kind of middle ground. 3w

I am loving this on #audio read by the author. So delightful!

rubyslippersreads I just got this with my Audible trial. I had started reading it, but thought it would be more fun to hear Babs read it. 2mo

#WhatsNewWednesday…..I‘m only about 10% into this audiobook and loving it…what‘s new is, once again, I‘m experiencing book synchronicity…Barbra just mentioned I‘ll Cry Tomorrow…the memoir written by Lillian Roth. I didn‘t know she was in a play with her. I loved that book and read it about a year and a half ago.

At 48hrs this is a longgg audiobook. I loved the first half; her childhood in Brooklyn in the 1950s, trying to make it on Broadway then working with Gene Kelly in big MGM musicals in the 60s. The second half was more of a slog. It‘s exhaustive and exhausting at times. Still… it‘s Barbra Streisand so what did I expect?! 😂

Bk5 of my recent #BookMail is the memoir/autobiography of the goddess herself, Barbra Streisand! One of the few to win the EGOT(Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony)she is one of the most recognisable voices in music. I grew up watching her movies, Funny Girl, Hello Dolly, What‘s Up Doc, The Way We Were etc, she‘s a total iconoclast with a nose to match. Absolute Legend!

2-20-24: My 3rd book of 2024! 970 pages of Barbra? Yes please!! I‘ve waited my whole life for this book and I‘m so thankful she took the time to tell us the truth about her life and career. To say it has been remarkable is an understatement. I took a long time to read this but really I was savoring each page and didn‘t want it to end. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for sure! And yes, I would read this one again which is why I bought my own copy to have forever.

#LuckyInLove #FaceBodyOnCover I am reading and enjoying but been reading it for months!I set it aside for other reading deadlines & it‘s so heavy, I use a book prop with it .She is such a perfectionist she often writes about things she would have done differently in old projects.Maybe I should have done audio!😁

Eggs I‘m sort of curious about this book but on audio it‘s over 48 hours😳 but I‘d rather listen than hold the giant book 4mo

I learned so much about Barbra Streisand, but also felt like I learned about myself and about living life through reading her reflections and observations. What a great memoir! My favorite quote came in the epilogue: “No matter who you are, you can only eat one pastrami sandwich at a time.” :)

JanuarieTimewalker13 Hahahahaha…that‘s a great quote!! 3w
