I really enjoyed this! To me, the fact that it easily could have been titled ‘Me & My Girls‘ & wasn‘t, only proves the love and devotion that Todd continuously showed towards & in regardsr to HIS Girls even after their deaths. My🎩 goes off to you Sir.

She‘s old school talent & worked hard.

She bought a Vegas hotel & lost it due to, a man! She auctioned off her collection of Hollywood memorabilia for a fortune.

The end of the book is a litany of movie memories. Name dropping galore! 😁

She had a stroke & passed away shortly after the death of her daughter Carrie Fischer (Princess Leia).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️3/4 (for content alone) 👇🏻

Twainy This is 3 of 6 library loans that are available in the Audible $6 sale. The only issue I have is that the book isn‘t a strait shot chronological timeline ... it tends to jump around a little which makes it feel repetitive a couple times. She narrates the book herself & is genuinely sweet & funny. 👍🏼 4y

MemoirsForMe I was shocked to learn about how Debbie‘s husbands took advantage of her. But I sure admired her resilience. This was a page turner for me. I‘ve been a big fan of hers. 4y

Twainy @UwannaPublishme not only take advantage but gamble away millions & mismanage millions! I felt her work distracted her & made it easy for them to hoodwink her. Oh she was a great narrator, I listened straight through! She felt genuine, funny & sweet! 4y

I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand I loved hearing about Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds from Todd their brother/son. But on the hand it was mostly Todd's autobiography & I thought it was going to be more about them. It was a really interesting look at their family.

I cannot go off on an Old Hollywood memoir tear right now; I have other reading commitments. However, Debbie ripped me right out of my reading slump and quite honestly I‘m tempted to go right into old Hollywood and stay there for a month, reading different memoirs (Lucille Ball, Dick Van Dyke would be next). This book is so mesmerizing! #oldhollywood #showbiz #memoir #autobiography
