34/100 This wasn't the conclusion that I wanted, but I guess it is the ending that best suits the story. In the end, there's no justice, for anyone, people die, the studio covers more scandals, and everyone shrugs and goes about their business as if it's all supposed to be this way. 3.75/5 #Read2025 #SeriesLove2025

TieDyeDude Yeah, it had kind of a Chinatown ending, which was fitting, IMO. 2d

33/100 The mystery deepens as our writer "hero" foolishly falls in love with the actress hired to replace the other actress. Plenty of secrets come out, dirty tricks, sexual assaults, perversions, scandals the studio is willing to kill to keep quiet. Charlie, the writer, is too drunk most of the time to realize the real danger he is involved in. 4 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ #Read2025 #SeriesLove2025

1-21-25: My 7th finished book of 2025! How can you not love Carol Burnett? She truly seems like a lovely person. And she is so funny. This book is like little snapshots of her life spanning her humble beginnings and going right up to the publication of the book in 2010. Many wonderful anecdotes about her TV show, some of her movies, her wonderful famous friends and of course her family. Highly recommend if you are a fan of hers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️📖#️⃣7️⃣

Butterfinger My favorite part was about Jimmy Stewart. I didn't think anyone loved him as much as I. I went on a Carol Burnette Show kick after reading it. 2mo

While the title suggests that this is a book merely about Elvis, this is actually a comprehensive history of Sin City itself. From its humble railroad beginnings to the entertainment capital of the world, author Richard Zoglin takes us through the story of this desert oasis. This is an in depth look at the entertainers that set the stage for a performer like Elvis, people like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis, Jr.

I went straight from breakfast to the Children‘s Hospital Book Market, where I knocked four things off my wishlist! Alas, nobody donated anything by Charles Stross or Kay Kenyon (my two big book hunt targets at the mo), but I was glad to give the sick kids some money and fill out my personal Skip Beat! library at the same time.

A new volume of SKIP BEAT! dropped on Tuesday after a gruelling year-long wait, so I‘m doing my traditional partial reread to prepare. This morning I hit the first of the volumes I own through Kobo rather than comiXology and I figured I‘d see how it read on my actual Kobo instead of the iPad app. Turns out, e-ink is great for manga! I‘ll still read all my western comics on the iPad, but I‘m glad I‘ve got a more portable option for Japanese stuff.

I couldn't choose just three, so I didn't. 😋

Here are four of my favorite musicals:

1. Annie (1982)
2. Little Shop of Horrors (1986)
3. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)
4. Hamilton (2015)
