I have read some books that made me shed tears but I don‘t think any have destroyed my heart. However, I‘ve heard these two will rip your heart out and I have the tagged book on my TBR. I‘m sort of afraid to read it because almost everyone says it will #crucifymyheart .
#SeptemberDanes

Viji I loved it and it is worth the tears! 6y
Kalalalatja They are both soooo good, but tough reads! I‘m planning on a reread of ALL soon, because apparantly I like breaking my own heart 💔 6y
Cinfhen Both books are emotional roller coasters😢😢😢🙌🏻 6y

#CrucifyMyHeart I could not think of a book for that prompt.

#AllThatIWant today is a few degrees more on the thermometer, tea, books/audiobooks.

I'm working on a crochet blanket I started three years ago. Cormoran Strike is keeping me company.

Kalalalatja It is so cold in Denmark, too! I can‘t deal with it ☹️ 6y
julesG @Kalalalatja It's as if we plunged from scorching hot summer right into winter. I've pulled out the woolly hats. 6y
Sace 😂 I've got a few languishing projects myself. It can take me years to finish a potholder! 6y
julesG @RestlessFickleBookHoarder I call them Works In Hibernation, since I don't really make progress. There's a second sock, a halfway finished sleeve for a pullover, a lace shawl and the "Nuvem" shawl project. That's been on the needles for I don't know how long. Why did I ever think it was a good idea to start a knitted shawl with a 100g hank of cobweb lace? https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/nuvem 6y

This has been on my TBR for the longest time??? Has anyone read it??? #SeptemberDanes In the span of 24hrs, a life will be lost and a new life will begin...#crucifyMyHeart

TrishB Sounds tough! 6y
Kalalalatja I have never heard of it! 6y
Cinfhen I forgot that I stacked it in 2016 @TrishB @Kalalalatja now I want to find it!!! That‘s what I love about these challenges - puts books back on my radar 🤓 6y

KarenUK I have... and loved the writing! It‘s very moving.... but be warned, the style is a little odd... the sentences are sooooooo long! 6y
Reviewsbylola I think I had this one stacked at one point. 6y
arubabookwoman I liked it, but I found it to be more of a “documentary” work about all the various aspects of an heart transplant than a living, breathing novel with characters and a story to follow (though parts are obviously novelistic). Don‘t know if I explained this very well, but I did like it. 6y

GrilledCheeseSamurai Such a great series! I still haven't read the newest trilogy! 😱. I have them...just haven't gotten to 'em yet. 6y

Pickpick

This is a good companion to When Breath Become Air. Julie Yip-Williams was diagnosed with colon cancer at 37. She had two young daughters, a loving husband, and a law career. She spent the last five years of her life grappling with her impending death, both what it meant for her but also what it meant for her family.

I was very inspired by her openness and honesty. #netgalley #septemberdanes #crucifymyheart

TrishB No way I could read that 😢 6y
Cinfhen Same @TrishB 😭😭😭😭😭 6y
Kalalalatja Have you read the tagged book? The author‘s husband and Paul Kalanithi‘s wife ended up together, I think 6y

This is one of the saddest books I have read this year, and it left me feeling heart broken 💔 #crucifymyheart

The singer in Private, the band behind today‘s song, has some serious Snape/Alan Rickman vibes going on, so if you want a look, here‘s a link https://youtu.be/YD4bXOf7AiI 😄

#SeptemberDanes #crucifymyheart I bailed on this one ... but I give it 5 ⭐️ for a great cover & title ❤️

Mdargusch I love that! There are so many 5⭐️ covers for meh books. 6y
Cathythoughts @Mdargusch I know ! It reminds me of when the music videos came out first ... & very often people would say : “ nice video - shame about the song “ 😆 6y
Kalalalatja It does look quite lovely! 6y

Cinfhen This is a stunning picture!! And I thought this book sounded like it had potential ~ too bad ☹️ 6y
JennyM I‘m reading this now @cathythoughts. I can see why you bailed but I‘m quite enjoying it. Not sure where it‘s going. Beautiful pic x 6y
Cathythoughts @JennyM I‘m glad you are enjoying it 👍🏻❤️. I really wanted to too. Maybe I‘ll try again after I see your review 👍🏻 6y

Loving Frank: A Novel | Nancy Horan
post image

Loving Frank Lloyd Wright is not easy. In a way, it‘s almost toxic - he does not treat any of his love interests well, yet his actions claim to do so. Horan‘s fictional account of Wright and his mistress made me see Wright in a different way. It was so good, but yet so heartbreaking, one of those books that I wanted to scream to the women, “Run!”

Definite #CrucifyMyHeart moments in this one. #SeptemberDanes

Kalalalatja Interesting pick! 6y
JamieArc This one has stuck with me for a long time. I remember feeling pretty shocked. 6y
Cinfhen This has been on my TBR for years!!!! Hope to read it one day 6y

Librarybelle @Cinfhen Hope you can get to it soon...it‘s a good one! 6y
DivineDiana After reading this, I developed a strong dislike for Frank Lloyd Wright, the man. 6y
