Elizabeth write to say she will snag on of three men for a husband but hopefully it is Mr. Shaw who she now sees in a new light. Sam returns home for a very short visit and encourages Emma to marry Lord Osborne. Emma assure him that is not a possibility. Robert the other brother then write that he has given someone his consent to marry her. I wonder who? 🤔 2y

Crinoline_Laphroaig Also every just assuming Mildred was pining for Julian. 😒 Allegra wasn't content to just announce her marriage. She's all 'how could you not want my man' in last Chapter. Mildred should have dumped Allegra's uneaten food on her head. And Rocky needs to 🤬 off and make his own coffee. 2y

willaful @julieclai I'm afraid that by the end I didn't even like Mildred that much anymore. 😔 I can't stand people who get roped into doing things they don't want to do, possibly because it's a trait I hate in myself. 2y

julieclair @willaful I‘m hoping Mildred develops some better boundaries by the end of this book. 🤞Although it‘s going to be an uphill battle. People assume she has all the time and flexibility in the world, because she doesn‘t have a husband or children. And she “only” works part time. Ugh. 😠😤😡 2y

They blame each other for C poor health. They hate, love, hate, love until E returns. C faints and H leaves only after Nelly says she will tell him of C‘s condition the next day. C and H are just awful humans. I really don‘t get how the stand each other.

mollyrotondo But Catherine is so miserable! She blames Heathcliff and Edgar for “killing” her but really she caused her own misery. I don‘t feel sorry for her in the slightest. I agree with Nelly but not as it pertains to Catherine. 3y
