A fascinating look at the history of Britain and their taking of the Benin Bronzes. The audiobook and narration were excellent while the content was easy to understand by those with little knowledge of the subject. I thought this might be a bit dry but it was really interesting from start to finish

This is actually a reread for me, mostly just because it's soothing and I couldn't remember which objects got picked!

This really is a little book, but it's still interesting. It uses the British Museum's collections (with a little bit of help from the British Library) to discuss how same-sex desire has been portrayed in art and literature. It's not an exhaustive account, and many cultures leave no mark: I'd say it's best viewed as highlighting some interesting objects (and some of the lacunae where we can't say), rather than as any kind of complete narrative.

Okay, not book related, BUT look at freaking cute my sister‘s cat, Carly, is?!?!?! 🤩🥰😍😻 I just can‘t stand it sometimes. She‘s a 10 year old ginger who was a rescue, and she turned me into a cat person 😹 She was supposed to never be able to live with more than one person or creature: now she lives with 4 humans and another cat!
