March was a tough call because I read so many Ascender issues that month, but Bill Nye managed to pull ahead. I enjoyed his perspective in this book, and LOVED learning more about the process behind his show in one or two chapters as well. #Nonfiction #Science #BillNye

Not as fun as his book on evolution, but still really important and a great read (this could be down to Undeniable being an audiobook and this was an ebook). It was nice to see the issue of climate change distilled down in an understandable way and into small, personally actionable steps so that we can each take our own steps to help this global issue. This truly made an issue that feels unbearably huge and made of personal.

Oh Bill. Bill, Bill, Bill. “Whatever else you are up to.” 😏 I can just hear him saying this. Too bad my library doesn‘t have the audiobook of this. Then again, we‘ve got a bunch of climate change deniers around here, so it‘s not really surprising.

GingerAntics @Weaponxgirl I don‘t think so. Never heard of that. Bill did mention super powers, but I‘ve only heard of people acquiring super powers through radioactive insects. Most times you have to be born with them. Sorry, nothing new on that front yet. (edited) 6y

julesG I was only teaching English to science students, specifically molecular biotechnologists. Means, I had to teach them the language, but didn't have to understand the intricacies of how it all works. I understood most of it, but not having studied this subject a few of the things sounded outlandish. 6y

GingerAntics @julesG oh wow. That‘s a trip. I kind of feel that way with some professor‘s instructions at work. “I can tell you what all the words mean, but I can‘t tell you what that sentence means to save my life.” 6y

No life on Venus in our future...unless they can live in 800+ degrees F. The bloody rain never touches the ground, because it evaporate before it can get there, because it is so ungodly hot. It is hell personified...planetified. If you believe in hell, bad people are going to Venus when they die.
