Not sure where I heard about this one - I thought it was on here, but don't see any posts about it 🤷♀️. Anyway, it's a good lunch/break choice. Relatively entertaining, easy to dip and out of, not so compelling that I have to tote it around to keep reading.
There's a little bit of Coastal-Media-Type-Road-Trips-to-Find-the-Real-America 🙄, but not the worst offender I've ever come across. And it's balanced with lots of pie recipes!
#ItTakesAllKinds #Roadtrip I think it said that they took these signs down in 1963 ,but at its height ,there were 7000 sets in 43 states. Fun car game to look for these on your travels back in the day.Found this little gem ,at the big book sale I went to a few weeks ago . Published in 1965. So six signs spread out a ways , you get a poem!

so-soThis had some interesting observations. One long scenario anout no one providing him water was particularly well done. Overall though after the first 8 chapters I grew bored. It seemed to fall into the socio- babble of every thing that‘s wrong in America can be fixed by having front porches. I love a deep porch, but…I am grateful though for the tip that the field in which Frederick Douglas fought for his freedom is still a field we can visit.

Every year I watch this movie and I think about seeing it in the theater in 1983 with my friends Marty and Kathy. And I remember how Marty said, “That was the worst movie I‘ve ever seen. I‘m so glad I never have to see it ever again.” And I laugh and laugh. 😄

My mom raised my brother and I with a high respect for our Americana. Her words are more, “out of all the cultures mixed into your blood, you are Native (Indigenous) and American first and foremost. You disrespect our Land or our Flag, you disrespect yourself.“👇
