#SummerSouls It‘s pretty hard to find the #sand in this Coney Island beach scene ! Love Weegee photographs though many are lurid crime scene photos.

Not sure where I heard about this one - I thought it was on here, but don't see any posts about it 🤷‍♀️. Anyway, it's a good lunch/break choice. Relatively entertaining, easy to dip and out of, not so compelling that I have to tote it around to keep reading.

There's a little bit of Coastal-Media-Type-Road-Trips-to-Find-the-Real-America 🙄, but not the worst offender I've ever come across. And it's balanced with lots of pie recipes!

#ItTakesAllKinds #Roadtrip I think it said that they took these signs down in 1963 ,but at its height ,there were 7000 sets in 43 states. Fun car game to look for these on your travels back in the day.Found this little gem ,at the big book sale I went to a few weeks ago . Published in 1965. So six signs spread out a ways , you get a poem!

This had some interesting observations. One long scenario anout no one providing him water was particularly well done. Overall though after the first 8 chapters I grew bored. It seemed to fall into the socio- babble of every thing that‘s wrong in America can be fixed by having front porches. I love a deep porch, but…I am grateful though for the tip that the field in which Frederick Douglas fought for his freedom is still a field we can visit.

One of my fave American artists; I was lucky enough to see his exhibition when it came to Phoenix in the early aughts. 🖤💜🖤

Great collection of tv game shows!they are in alphabetical order fyi.

I found the book to be wildly entertaining. The narrator did a good job with it, but some of the sound effects got in the way.
