✨The entry question for #AbbsGiveawayWonderland was "What's your motivation/inspiration that gets you through rough times or every day life?" When I chose that question, I was just looking for new ways or others outlook on inspiration/motivation. I never expected the replies I got. I came away with so much. tomes4gnomes Thank you! Your question really helped me connect with other Littens and see just how special this community is. I‘m fairly new to Litsy and I was unsure how much to share here (the internet can be cruel, you know?) but I was so moved by the kind responses. And seeing others‘ replies to your question made me feel so much less alone. 7y

Since I suffer from severe anxiety and depression, everyday life can be difficult for me. On bad days, getting through the next five minutes can be a struggle. To get me through, spending time and going on adventures with my husband and daughter is a MUST! They‘re my best friends! I love to cook and bake from scratch. It‘s totally weird, but I also find shopping for fresh ingredients at the health food store and farmers market grounding.

jpmcwisemorgan It‘s not weird at all. I think it‘s important to recognize what triggers and what helps anxiety/depression. I like working a regular schedule, it‘s MUCH better for me, and if I consistently don‘t get enough sleep almost anything will trigger anxiety. It took me far too long to figure that out. 7y

abbsinwonderland It's not weird whatsoever as long as it helps YOU! I suffer from the same and know what a challenge it can be. I rarely leave my house these days because of my anxiety. But these posts from my giveaway have given me lots of new ideas for coping so THANK YOU! Good luck and thanks for entering 💜💜 7y

BooksAndTeaJulie @abbsinwonderland Thanks for the kind words!! I don‘t know if you‘ve tried it, but weighted blankets are miracles! Tonight will be my second night with one, and I can‘t remember a time that I slept as soundly as last night. Even when I woke up, I was immediately able to fall back into a deep sleep without my mind taking over. If you can, you should try one out. I can‘t recommend it enough. @jpmcwisemorgan you might like it as well! 💕 7y

jpmcwisemorgan I‘ve heard about weighted blankets and I‘ve read that even a light weight when you‘re sleeping can help. I‘m going to have it give it more thought because sleep is good, and if it helps with going back to sleep it‘s a miracle worker! 7y

abbsinwonderland I'm a CNA and we use weighted blankets for our dementia patients. It works wonders :) 7y

I struggle with severe anxiety and depression, so my close relationships with my mom and younger brother are what motivate me to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I also find joy/inspiration in animals, books and my long term friendships.

I have issues with anxiety but have learned how to control it so I don‘t rack up a whole bunch of hospital bills due to panic attacks 😂🤣. I can laugh now but a year ago, I wouldn‘t be laughing so much. Feeling special to be one of your fave Littens—tag me anytime for a virtual hug!! 🤗 7y

I am beginning to see that there are so many of us struggling with anxiety, but part of that anxiety consists of the hard work we expend hiding our distress, trying to always seem “normal.” So it‘s a rather wonderful thing when we say “me, too” to each other and form a community.
