I read some great books this month, not as much as I would have liked but still...

- Claire LeGrand/Marissa Meyer signing
- Continued my challenges (a bit behind on them and some book clubs but I‘m determined to catch up) and started the library‘s summer book bingo
- On track with my Goodreads reading challenge
- Fave Books: The Grace Year (review below), Lock Every Door, The Grief Keeper

Back home to a sunny Seattle after a whirlwind and very fun weekend in Santa Monica at #YALLWEST 📚 Friends, books, the beach, amazing authors (especially time with author Katya De Becerra 💜), and I am grateful, exhausted, and ready to read and review this big stack!

I met Jay Kristoff last night at YallWest! I also picked up a copy off Aurora Rising! He was so cool to talk to and it was worth the long wait.

Some highlights of 2018:
⭐️112 books (so far)
⭐️Went to #Yallwest and #PDXBookFest
⭐️Met TONS of authors (v. lucky we get lots of signings here) including some faves: Ruth Ware, Grady Hendrix, V.E. Schwab, Josh Malerman, Jay Kristoff, Emily Suvada (again)
⭐️Met some Littens in person too, and made new bookish friends

If I didn‘t have my bookish life, I couldn‘t survive the rest of it honestly 💗

Late post but here's my swag grab from #YALLWest last weekend. Small haul but I was volunteering which was pretty chill and fun! Really stoked to read Yoon Ha Lee's Dragon Pearl, Willa Wood is intriguing, and can't wait to read the rest.

One of the highlights of #Yallwest yesterday, was, after suspecting that I‘d been told to stand in the incorrect line for 15 mins (I had been), catching Alex London at the table before he was about to sign away literally the last book to 2 young ‘uns (who were highly unlikely to read a YA killer-bird fantasy and really were there for his middle grade novels). Can not wait to read this one, plus #coverlove

Just made it back (late last night) from a whirlwind day at #Yallwest. Took standby flights to LA from #Seattle for the YA #bookfestival (got up at the crack of dawn) and spent most of the day standing in line in the blazing sun and heat for ARCs that were sometimes all gone when I got to the front. I went as press so I‘ll be blogging about this and my haul soon (will get a photo up soon). I‘m basically exhausted and frazzled 😳☀️✈️📚

The Six of Crows duology is one of my all time favorite! These books are seriously some of the best I have read since getting back into reading and I can't wait to see what Leigh Bardugo writes next. I had the pleasure of meeting her at Yallwest this year and she is a Slytherin Queen. 💚

Here's my #yallwest book haul. I'm so lucky I finally got to attend it and now it's back to the real world (but I'll have so many good books).
