I love, love, love AIC and this book was well researched I thought. I learned things I didn‘t know already, and it was great to read how the band formed. It was really heartbreaking to read about Layne‘s struggles with addiction. The fact that he was reclusive and died alone is devastating. Like Cobain, it‘s so sad to think of what could‘ve been.

I finally finished this book, but I would give it a thumbs down. It has a lot of similarities to Where‘d You Go Bernadette, but it falls flat. It follows the protagonist Eleanor for a day in her life when she is trying to do better, meeting her poetry teacher, getting her kid from school, and finding out a secret about her husband. This book is okay, it‘s just not that good or interesting. The plot jumps around, which was disorienting to me.

So happy about my picks for this month! The tagged book is my #bookspin, which is great because it‘s #nonfictionnovember. And I got a seasonal read for my #doublespin!

The majestic, stunning, breath taking Snoqualmie Falls. Home and land of First Nations People, the Snoqualmie. ‘People of the moon‘.

I have only unfortunately seen a few waterfalls in my life so far, but this one is the most beautiful. I couldn‘t look away. The water always calls me. Lots of spirit energy in this area. Hallowed ground.

Dual perspective. Clean romance with two very unlikable characters.

The first annoying thing is when I ask Dad what he thinks happened to Mom, he always says, “What's most important is for you to understand that it's not your fault.”

Mixed feelings about this one. I very much disliked Oliver Harding. He is the professor narrating the story, and giving insight on his obsessions over his colleague, Ruhaba. Loved Ruhaba and her nephew and would very much have preferred their perspectives.

I enjoyed this although it wasn‘t as riveting as previous books in the series.
