😌 Ah. How good it is to be done working.

#Readathon #NutsInMay update
I'm about to finish refugee and I can't stand the cliff hangers, especially all the potential for drowning (my biggest fear). I need a feel good palette cleaner. #whatshouldireadnext?
I felt like entering into a new world, in a different era so old, so archaic and fascinating! Deeply researched and astonishingly documented, An Infinity of Little Hours was unlike any non-fiction books I have read before. I couldn't put it down! The story was told about the most austere and isolated monastic order in the western world, the Carthusian Monks. Ms. Nancy Maguire chronicled the life of five individuals from their 👇

#whatshouldIreadnext is one of my favorite podcasts, so I was delighted to hear @annebogel narrate her own audiobook. This is a book I'm going to have own in print, too! I felt the frequent need to highlight, write my own margin notes and add stickies all over this book! The last chapter, especially resonated - the need to log my books competes with my need to be reading, Even as write this, I hear my current read calling my name!
Just started this audiobook based on @AnneBogel and her #whatshouldireadnext podcast. It's really good so far!
I resisted this story because I have a teen daughter. It‘s very well written, and a fast, intriguing read. Suicide trigger but the perspective is different because the narrator is a group of young boys infatuated with the Lisbon girls. I thank @annebogel and the #whatshouldireadnext podcast for the recommendation. Without hearing how good it was I never would have read this.
