I liked this book and these characters but I felt like at over 800 pages there should have been more action Or something it was too long , the last quarter of the book made this a pick for me or it would have been a so-so

07/100 I'm happy to say Book Three of the Prof. Croft series was just as enjoyable as the previous two. With each book, he reminds me less of John Constantine and more of his own character. The Mayor of NYC has decided to purge the city (thus the title) of all supernatural creatures, and Croft is enlisted to help. It's all a trap, of course, and he soon finds himself in the middle of a four way battle between werewolves, vampires, the fae, ⬇️
"Svelare" The word vibrated from my mouth, dispelling the magical veil over my floor to ceiling bookcase.

October had some good but not great books & so my #12BooksOf2024 ended up being this 7th book in a paranormal romance series I enjoy.🤷🏻♀️ Now November was a great reading month & it will be a struggle to pick a favorite.
Honorable Mentions include: Vampires of El Norte (audiobook), So Hungry
Tagged was my favorite of December-loved the whole trilogy. My top read of the year is Blood Over Bright Haven by M.L. Wang - an excellent standalone fantasy everyone should read.
A great ending to this paranormal trilogy. Epic and heartwarming. Bebe really is the best! 5⭐️
A very fun second book in this paranormal series. There is some romance, but no HEA yet so I label this as a paranormal first. I love the characters and look forward to reading the next book. This does end on a cliffhanger but all three books are out so you don‘t have to wait. 4.5⭐️
This was a fantastic wrap up to the series, although it came a lot sooner than I thought it would! Cin learns so much, and grows a great deal as a character, and most of the minor characters are strongly drawn and as vibrant as she is. Ofc there‘s a HEA, but getting there is a TRIP, and there‘s enough action and derring do to satisfy just about anyone. And of course, there‘s Havoc…😏 A quick read, but a good one.
This is a morbidly hilarious take on an afterlife that's understaffed, overbooked, and completely unprepared for the Newly Dead Life Coach who is not only not taking 'please stay on the line' standing down, but is about to uncover a horribly mystery that could end the afterlife, and life alike. this book had me roaring with laughter, as well as chewing my fingernails as i kept turning the pages, unable to put it down!
Isaac has ulterior motives when he gets into the Rogue Community College. But a cute boy, possible answers about his past, & actual friends might be the world changing shift he needs.
I knew Slayton wouldn‘t steer me wrong! Set in the Adam Binder universe, this nicely balanced further intriguing worldbuilding, really powerful character development, & a fast paced mystery. A satisfying ending, but open ended enough for a sequel! 🌕🌕🌕🌕🌑
