pickThis was my #DoubleSpin for this month, and WOW was it intense! It was incredibly disturbing and most of the time I didn't want to put it down as the main character became more and more unhinged. As with most of the books Jenny Lawson has picked for her Fantastic Strangelings book club, I was left wondering what I had just read, but in a good way.
pickI‘m glad I read the 8 books that the author spoils before reading this book. I feel it added to my enjoyment of this book, and I did enjoy this book, very much. Unreliable narrator, lots of books mentioned, many murders, other quite likable characters. I really like the way this author composes a story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

panI really liked the premise of the story and the writing was easy to read, but I was bored out of my gourd in the first 50 pages. The outcome was also extra obvious very early on with how the story was being told.

I picked this psychological thriller from my tbr pile for an easy post Xmas read + it was a roller coaster read + starts my #booked2023 with a #twist.
Sue is a mother whose 15yr old dtr is in a coma after what appears to be an apparent suicide, when sue finds Charlotte's diary she suspects something is wrong which triggers memories of her life 20 yrs earlier.
pickTabby is dating Mark & one day they decide to climb to the highest part of a local hike called The Split. Hours later, Tabby re-emerges & reports Mark missing presumed dead. He apparently fell from the top & Tabby became lost in the woods trying to get out & call for help as her phone had died. A search soon finds Mark's body in the water below & it seems that he drowned. The rumours soon begin that maybe it wasn't an accident. (Continued)
