Every time she mentioned a scene or some dialogue or a song, I was able to easily picture it in my head. So it was fun to learn of so much that happened behind the scenes. This is the true story that the Sound of Music was based on. It was interesting to see how different the movie is from what really happened (quite a lot) and to know what happened with the family after they left Austria.

Thank you Christine for one of the coolest postcards I've ever received! I adore it! How did you know it's my favorite book and movie of my whole childhood? I fell in love with the book before the movie came out
