Set in Tenessee in 1952 this is a great story of a family of 3 brothers + a father who is returning after a long absence. The father E F Bloodworth, in his 70s has a reputation for violence in the past and for playing the banjo. The bk also focuses on his grandson Fleming. This was a really enjoyable family drama with great characters and some brilliant scenes. Evokes the region + tensions within families, as well as the exuberance of youth well
#12booksof2024 @Andrew65 late to the party but my favorite September read ❤️📚I didn‘t know what to expect and it‘s a crazy story. A woman takes over a hotel for a wedding, but an unexpected guest gets a room and ends up being the life of the party - the opposite of her plan.
September wrap up from StoryGraph!
A great trio of books that I enjoyed a lot! Station eleven was by far my favourite. Probably contender for best book this year for me.
On track with my reading goal, although this month was a bit behind. I‘m aiming for a book a week, so 52 total and I‘m at 39! Exactly 75% of the way through.

Well, I neglected to post my September list for #ReadYourEbooks, but here are my corresponding books for the selected numbers. I read two for August, so I‘m right on track!
