One of my all time favorite books! My copy has him standing in front of the window, but I saw this cover and thought it and thought it better captured the spirit of this being #SetInThe1920s #MarchMagic @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Keeping it simple - have guests arriving tonight so not sure what the rest of my week will look like 🤷🏼♀️I bailed on Making A Scene - memoir by Constance Wu ( just wasn‘t feeling it )& I started The Barbizon which I‘m LOVING ❣️❣️❣️❣️It‘s heading to you @BarbaraBB and it would work for #52BookClub #SetInThe1920s 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Happy Thanksgiving to my US Littens 🍁🥧🥂
One more down in my #PhryneMarathon This is one of my favourites,she meets Lin here & coz I think the conclusion is very clever.Of course, I love all the Phryne books and could reread them for years! #phryneappreciationclub #LitsyAtoZ2020 #LetterG #PopSugar20 #SetInThe1920s #MandMChallenge #FavouriteAuthor #JennyIs30 #Detective #MountTBR2020 #Bk2 #BeatTheBacklist2020 #Bk5 #AntiAlphabetSoup #LetterH #WinterBookBingo #JanuaryBookBingo #SetInThe1920s
Onto Bk7 in the Daisy Dalrymple series, I swear I'll wait for the next one in print form! I love my kobo glo, but I wish it was a colour screen, this cover is so brilliant with all the blues, reds and greens.
Daisy's brother-in-law asks for her help when he starts receiving poison pen letters. Taking Belinda, Alec's daughter, she goes to Kent for a visit, but the letter writer suddenly gets deadly & Daisy is next in his list. #daisysdarlings
This is the first novel I read in this series, though it‘s actually the third in the chronology, and I have to admit, I have contrasting feelings about it.
The mystery was very clevel, l liked that. But the historical setting felt didascalic and many characterisations were too modern, IMO. Also, the story dragged, especially in the middle

I know l'm very late to the party. Couldn't get to it earlier. But this is a small selezione of my books #SetInThe1920s
I have many more in my e-reader
I'm so behind this month! So I'm just gonna go back a few days.
I love historical fiction. And I loved that these two novels gave voices to women who most likely were muted by their more famous husbands. #setinthe1920s #marchintoreading

I've read a lot of books that take place in different time periods but this might be the only book I've read that's #SetInThe1920s.

I'm obsessed with these books, and I can't wait for the third book to come out in October. #SetInThe1920s #MarchIntoReading
