I picked up the tagged as an algorithmic choice from Amazon! We‘ll see… James, which I loved, and A Sweet Sting of Salt are from @AardvarkBookClub 💜💜 The other three were from Amazon‘s current 3 for 2 sale. I was interested in the Nolan from the Women‘s Prize longlist, and I loved Cursed Bunny by Chung, so I wanted her latest! I‘m a bit uncertain about the Ko because I bailed on audio. We‘ll see…

I have never read Proulx before, and these short stories sound really interesting. I‘m excited to read more McCarthy, too.

I have quite a few library print and audiobooks that release 10/10. Should be a busy week! 🤩

It was a good week for #RecentAcquisitions! A few library books, and I‘ve already started Rouge. The Last Election is fiction by Andrew Yang, which sounds interesting and is about a rogue 3rd party candidate (no surprise there)!

My 2NC was doing a 25% off promotion, and I used it to pick up several paperbacks plus a short story collection and Hot Milk, which I may have already read, in hardcover. 🤔🤔 I have some poor record keeping years!

Major week for #RecentAcquisitions! I made my monthly #LibraryHaul trip, and I‘ve already finished the Williams and enjoyed it just as much as My Murder! Also how can you not love the Grace Adams cover?? I‘ve started it too, and it‘s the mid-40s book I need. Lots of other books to look forward to. I‘m especially excited for Year of the Tiger and Angel of Rome. The other @AardvarkBookClub picks are really tempting!! #aardvark

#RecentAcquisitions @AardvarkBookClub was on point and got my order here super fast! I also headed to the library and picked up a few, including Pete and Alice, which is a pandemic book. Very curious! I also got a short story collection and Brundage‘s latest from Amazon.

Fantastic week for #RecentAcquisitions! The left side is my haul from the 2NC 25% off sale this morning. Two I‘ve already read and wanted to own, but the rest are new-to-me. So excited to find another Brundage @BarbaraBB !!

The right is my library haul from Thursday. My august bookspin list will be all short stories, so I was really excited to find the new Tremblay and Bazterrica collections!!

#RecentAcquisitions someone went to the library a couple of times this week! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thank you to @Bookwormjillk for the rec of Lark Ascending! I‘ve also got two graphic novels, the latest from the Before the Coffee… series, two new releases, and one from the librarians‘ recommendations shelf that hopefully will scratch my itch for more queer lit!

#RecentAcquisitions It is the year of Claire Fuller, and I am here for it! Looking forward to my gorgeous #aardvark copy for #CampLitsy23 next month, but in the meantime, I‘ve got Bitter Orange, which is my 3rd by her this year.

The Guide is my #Bookspin. I‘m in the middle of Cassandra from the library now. The Rachel Incident has such a beautiful spine! And Forgiven was a consensus suggestion for a second book by Homes. Happy weekend!

#RecentAcquisitions It‘s the time of the month when I decide what to carry over from June to July‘s TBR and start adding new ones. I‘ve got two by O‘Farrell for #AuthorAMonth (and two more I own), plus a #BlameItOn @Hooked_on_books (Bloomers), and another from Fuller‘s backlist. (I‘m excited about her latest in August for #CampLitsy23, too!)

Honeybees was a Parnassus purchase and @squirrelbrain rec. And I loved my signed Helen Ellis (tagged)!

#RecentAcquisitions Well, I didn‘t mean to get any new books this week, but what are you gonna do? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 People is a blame it on @Hooked_on_books . Holly knows how much I love short stories! Dykette is from the #CampLitsy23 longlist, and Three looked good when I was picking up my hold.
