pickWow, Pinocchio was better behaved (hard to believe) in the Disney movie than he was in the book. As written, Pinocchio was very much a kid doing kid things—if there‘s a right or wrong choice to make, he always makes the wrong one because he‘s curious, easily persuaded, or just plain naive. (Never mind the adults offering advice & wisdom.) Of course, all sorts of bad things happen on the way to him learning what it means to be human. Entertaining.
My first time reading Pinocchio and yes, it‘s all thanks to finding an edition illustrated by Gris Grimly. 😬😂
