I loved Sue Barton books when I was a kid. Even then I knew I would never make it as a nurse (too squeamish!) but I enjoyed her hospital adventures.
It‘s sexist and basically an ad for Band-aids, but I loved this book as a kid. #nursesday #magicalMay @Eggs
Not exactly the right sentiment for #NursesDay 🤷♂️🤦♂️ but first nurse book I thought of that hasn‘t already been posted today.
Hats off 🎩 to all the wonderful nurses for the heroic job they are doing, especially those holding the hands of the dying where family can‘t be there due to the virus. 😢 Will be out clapping again tomorrow night at 8 o‘clock for the job they are all doing.

Close .This is one case where I love the movie as much as the book. The incomparable John Lithgow plays the transgender ex football player , Roberta Muldoon. I feel Irving was ahead of his time , looking at morals & ethics from more than 1 perspective.
Honoring and appreciating all healthcare workers and support staff on this National #NursesDay. We owe you so much. Thank you. My mom, who was a nurse, bought the whole Cherry Ames series for me when I was growing up. We gave them away to our younger neighbor girls. I've only replaced these two. #MagicalMay @Eggs

Nurses are amazing & should be honored every day. When I was really young this was a favorite book. Nancy wants to be a nurse & takes care of people, pets & her toys & eventually gets her own candy striper uniform. I got the book with a candy striper uniform for my birthday & was so excited. Then I realized that I didn‘t like blood & was deathly afraid of needles & I gave up that career goal (but I still loved the book!)🤗
Not the most exemplary example for #NursesDay but the first literary one that popped into my head! Really, though, we can‘t thank our nurses enough what they are doing for us all at the moment.
