pickAt 19 hours, this is a bit #NerdAlert 🤓, but if you‘re interested in newsroom politics and the whys of major news coverage, this is great! Covering 1976-2016, Nagourney looks at the relationship between the executive editor and publishing (Abramson‘s firing, etc.) as well as behind the scenes accounts of major highs and lows (Jayson Blair, 9/11 Pulitzer, their role in erroneous Iraqi WMD accounts, etc.).
