pickThis book scared me as it deals with child abduction-any parent‘s worst nightmare. A father and son find themselves in the midst of a police investigation of a serial killer. It‘s suspenseful, has a supernatural element, and the main characters are well drawn. I particularly like the father-son relationship which added so much depth to the story, otherwise it would be just another run-of-the-mill thriller. TW:child murders but not graphic. 👇

I think all children should read/listen to it. Even adults! It teaches in a simple way, with beautiful images & a magical story, how we should LOVE & ACCEPT one another. We ARE ALL beautiful: all skin tones/cultures/race/beliefs/age/body type/healthy/handicapped/wealthy or not... The world is aching/TOGETHER we can heal it!

pickI‘m glad to have finally read this after it has been languishing on my shelf for a few years. PI Jackson Brodie investigates 3 decades-old seemingly unrelated family tragedies and begins to find connection among them. Great character studies and engaging mystery, with bits of humour. Love it, just brilliant. 👍
