dabbe One summer as a snotty high-schooler, I laid on the couch, heavily sighing. My mom walked by with a bunch of laundry in her hands. “What's wrong with you?“ she asked. My answer: I've only been out of school for 1 week, and I'm already bored to death.“ If emojis existed then, my mom would have looked like this: 🙄 Instead, she said, “Have you ever considered the idea that YOU might be the one who is BORING? #lifelesson 💚💙💚 6mo

Eggs @dabbe great story! With my teen girls: as soon as I assigned more chores, they suddenly were no longer bored 😑 6mo
dabbe @Eggs I was amazed my mother didn't tell me to start cleaning as she stood there with a bunch of clothes in her hands! 😂😀🤗 6mo

I used to love this book and all of the illustrations when I was little. While it is such a great book, it also has such a meaningful message to children

so loved this book I think it was adorable. I like the lesson it taught. It taught me that you can take your time and not rush everything. I would defiantly read it to my students.

This TL book is a retelling by Teresa Mlawer of the famous folktale The Tortoise and the Hare. Like all folktale this a story passed down by storytelling throughout the generations. The Tortoise and the Hare give a entertaining story with a great moral. The moral being that with dedication and perseverance you can accomplish anything. A S goes along perfectly with this TL book and Scholastic haves helpful information on storytelling.

DrSpalding You blew us away with this presentation. Would you consider adding your video link so that Litsy subscribers can watch? It was so good and you were so creative! Excellent resource included. You are a natural storyteller and should continue to storytell during internship and beyond. 4y

Day I don't even know what of the kids being stuck in the house so that means it's time for a #lifelesson

I think we all learned important things today. The boy: furniture does NOT come assembled and the instructions are useless

Me: assembly should be a one person job 😑

This and 2 other books defined my ‘quest‘ in life and continue to do so. #Tolstoy I stumbled upon in my Dad‘s collection when in High School and was my first real introduction to literary fiction. The writing was unlike anything I had read until then (think Nancy Drews, Archie‘s and Sweet Valley Twins🙈). It had me in a trance. #Empathy what a revelation! #LifeLesson #Classics #Riotgram #Day12
