I used to love this book and all of the illustrations when I was little. While it is such a great book, it also has such a meaningful message to children

so loved this book I think it was adorable. I like the lesson it taught. It taught me that you can take your time and not rush everything. I would defiantly read it to my students.

This TL book is a retelling by Teresa Mlawer of the famous folktale The Tortoise and the Hare. Like all folktale this a story passed down by storytelling throughout the generations. The Tortoise and the Hare give a entertaining story with a great moral. The moral being that with dedication and perseverance you can accomplish anything. A S goes along perfectly with this TL book and Scholastic haves helpful information on storytelling.

DrSpalding You blew us away with this presentation. Would you consider adding your video link so that Litsy subscribers can watch? It was so good and you were so creative! Excellent resource included. You are a natural storyteller and should continue to storytell during internship and beyond. 4y
