It looks deceptive that I read a lot in July: all of The Walking Dead were read on the first two days (I loved all of it), and total 11 of the books were graphic novels. Also, I only read about 30 pages of the Daily Show to finish it. I am actually in a bit of a reading slump. I did have some excellent reads, though. I loved Azazeel, A Dirty Job, The Souls of Black Folk, Eats Shoots And Leaves. Hard to pick favorites!

A couple of days late....my favorite book for July was Outliers. Gladwell argues that successful people got that way not just through intelligence, personality or ambition. He discusses how other factors figure in success. These factors include: culture, family, decade of birth, time of year you were born and unique opportunities presented to you at the right time.

Fell asleep last night before doing my wrap up! 😴 I only read 2 from my original July TBR and only 1 that I actually own. So typical 😝 #jubilantjuly #bestofjuly #sizzlinsummerbooks #julyfaves #julystats

So apparently I inadvertently stuck to a colour theme when it came to my favourite books of July? Each of these were PRETTY different to the others, apart from maybe The Power which did have a bit of a Handmaid's Tale feel to it. Really enjoyed trying out some new authors this month.

kspenmoll @SilversReviews Thanks! @christineandbooks I agree with @SilversReviews , the book was a wonderful read: mothers, daughter, careers, books, setting in SC coast, southern feel, characters interesting, well developed. Summer! Hope you enjoy it. (edited) 7y

Here is my July wrap-up, 5 books which isn't a great month for me, only because these titles are all relatively short! My favorite was the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy 🌌 and my revisit to a childhood favorite The Disappearing Stranger! #bestofJuly #JubliantJuly #JulyFaves #sizzlinsummerbooks

MatchlessMarie I noticed that Stephen Fry narrates Hitchhikers. Might need to bump that one up on my TBR 😉😍 7y
SamLBooks I've just ordered Hitchhiker's! It's been on my TBR for forever! 7y

TBH, I'm not a huge fan of nonfiction but I figured I'd give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. This was a fantastic read with lots of research, various narratives of introverts and highly sensitive people, and the best part is that it even includes suggestions on how to best utilize your hidden talents as an introvert. This was definitely the best book I've read this month. #JulyFaves #SizzlinSummerBooks @Tiffy_Reads

Yeah_I_Read I keep seeing stuff about Quiet and my interest is definitely piqued but I don't usually read nonfiction maybe I'll buy it this month 😊 7y
EchoLogical @Yeah_I_Read I know what you mean. I find most nonfiction boring but I'm trying to counteract all the YA I usually read with something informative. It's hard, though. 😂 7y
Yeah_I_Read @EchoLogical ??I feel the same! I have been forcing myself to read "adult books" bc I feel guilty reading so much YA ??‍♀️ 7y
