I‘ve been picking up books for mom at the library. She reads fast. I can‘t help myself 😝.

I‘ve never read Balzac, and now is as good a time as any. This was only nine issues on @SerialReader and quite good. Colonel Chabert was thought to have died in battle, so when he shows up years later to find his wife has liquidated all his assets and remarried, trouble ensues. There‘s a lot wrapped up in this little novella.
A quick little Balzac novella accompanied by this plant-based mint cacao smoothie 😋
That is what a yogiTeamonger wants to hear! Except maybe don‘t do the English milk and sweetener think if it‘s health your after... #BrewYourOwnTea #tea
Well, you know you are the first to read 100-year-old book when you have to cut the pages...📖🤓❤️
18 years ago my set of Balzac that was a gift from my beloved mother-in-law was “disappeared” by her daughter in our divorce. On a bookstore-crawl with @lalatiburona last week I finally found a replacement set. RIP Adams Avenue Books in San Diego but thanks for the sweet deal!
For the pleasure, an excerpt of a rare beauty:
"When children start to see, they smile; when a young girl glimpses the feeling in nature, she smiles as she smiled as a child. If light is the first love of life, isn‘t love the light of the heart?" #Balzac #eugeniegrandet by #HonoredeBalzac
