So Jane Eyre is here for #cursive and #femalehero I think she's tough and relatable I also don't remember where I got this version but I love it! The Hakawati is on my TBR but the cover is so beautiful the picture does not do it justice I hope the inside is just as good 😅 #coverlovers

Idk why Scarlett gets so much hate. She does what she needs to in order to survive and she doesn't give a s**t about your social norms. I mean yes she spends the whole novel pining for the wrong man and deserves to be left but as a female character in a novel, especially in an era where men dominated, she's pretty bad ass. #femalehero #septemberphotochallenge #scarlettohara #gonewiththewind

Peddler410 I loved reading Gone With the Wind the summer between Junior and Senior year of high school. My grandfather was sick and died during that summer and my dad lost his job but for some reason I have a positive connection with this book. Probably because it helped take my mind off things. AndreaReads I don't love Scarlet, but I love this. I don't think I've ever taken a moment to step back and look at things from that perspective. Welcome to Litsy! 7y
introvertedbooks @Peddler410 so sorry about your loss but I love those type of connections to books. I think that what makes people become readers and thank you for the welcome! 7y

introvertedbooks @AndreaReads I think a lot of people only see her as a brat who always got what she wanted. I can see that point of view too I just think people miss the other side of her as well. And thank you for the welcome! 7y
Bklover Welcome to Litsy! 7y
SailorMoon THANK YOU!!! That's what I've been saying all along! People think of her as a spoiled brat, nothing but a whining social climber. C'mon guys! She lifts her whole family and friends up after the Civil War by hard working and especially doing man work in a men-world, something pretty innovative and not suited for a lady at that time! She is one of the strongest female characters ever written, in my opinion ❤ 6y
