I had such a sudden urge to reread Death Note the other day, even though I‘m not a huge manga reader and I‘ve barely thought about this since school. It just popped into my head and I flew through jt and really loved it. Maybe I need to do a whole reread?

Death Note, a notebook belonging to a Shinigami death god in hand, Light continues pursuing his goal. At first, Light punishes criminals who have gotten away with it/only received light sentences but as his activities draw attention, he casts a wider net. This is a cat & mouse thriller which has you rooting for the good guys AND the bad ones but it‘s also an interesting examination of the means justify the ends. Can good come from something bad?

My first manga! This series was recommended to me since I like mysteries and thrillers and I enjoyed it. The main character is a little cocky though

It takes probably 15-20 pages before my brain readjusts to reading manga, but I love this series. This storyline had me pretty stressed out though. 😬

Really not that good as the manga/anime. It is 100% good cops against 100% evil killer. The opposite of death note.

This is my first manga and it is taking me a bit of time getting used to the format. 🙃 Unrelated, I‘m heading to Dublin for the first time and wondered which bookstores are a must see? Anyone have some recommendations? I‘m all ears!!

This was original and I really enjoyed it. I couldn‘t quite figure out why it‘s been banned. The premise is certainly violent, but it wasn‘t at all graphic, especially for something geared towards adults. Maybe the rest of the series gets a lot creepier. #BBRCAdultSeinen/Josei #Bookspin @LibrarianRyan @TheAromaofBooks

TheAromaofBooks Great progress!!! 2y
LibrarianRyan It does. And it get more violent. As various death scenarios go. I havent' read book one, but I had a parent complain about a few of the volumes, and that we had the anime. So I had to look into it. 2y
