pickWhile the 7th book in the series has just as much to love as previous installments, there are some consistent problems that are starting to get to me. First, too much is crammed into one book. I‘d prefer something shorter with less going on (maybe Wayward Children-style). Secondly, & most frustratingly, Taylor seems to struggle to embrace body positivity. Bigger bodies are beautiful, too. The repeated fat-shaming is becoming hard to overlook.👇🏻

I have been in a bit of a slump and not able to focus on reading things for challenges so I've been getting back into the St. Mary's books and binging through those. So it's been a productive reading week just not challenge wise.

Goal this week is to make big progress in Sea of Tranquility as I need to read it for work.
pickI enjoyed this like most St. Mary's books but it was very much telenovella levels of drama for Max et al. Like I know this are OTT and silly but also there was a lot of bad things happening to good people and it kind of was a downer. Very much not the most optimistic episode in the series.
pickI've read enough of these and the shorter stories now to feel a sense of camaraderie with the core group of characters. This installment was full of the fun OTT antics I've come to expect from St. Mary's.
pickThis was very good, as always. Right now all the timelines with Max and Leon are confusing me... Very interesting parts of history were covered - her ability to imagine these is amazing.

I'm still struggling with my physical book and the book club book for work so I'm going to have to use the holiday weekend to push through on those. I also need to find another commute audiobook to commit to.
pickLoads of fun with the crew of St. Mary's. I think the OTTness is what makes me love these so much. Definitely not stand alone though. It's been a while since I've read the earlier ones so I had to find summaries to refresh my memory.
