This is Arrow. I met her today at the Auburn Public Library. They‘ve partnered with a local shelter to help cats get adopted. Wish I could adopt Arrow, she‘s very sweet and friendly.

#TenBeforeTheEnd progress is better than I would have thought when I created my original line up. Planning on finding more audiobook time because I‘ve got just under 10 hours to go on tagged book. 14 hours if I need to drop my speed. Audiocooking requires a slower speed for me. I don‘t think it will take me long to read Bookshops & Bonedust, so I think I‘m actually going to finish this challenge, which makes me feel great about wrapping up 2024.
Up next- This book has mixed reviews but the words “ cozy” and “ cats” in the reviews sold me, lol
I haven't read this outloud to my students yet, but I'm sure it will be a hit. I didn't know about your kids, but mine seem to love meta fiction and I think that's a lousy name for the literary device. May I suggest Ironic Groveresque?
I got my #naughtylistholidayswap package today.
It is Harpy approved.
This novel about a guy who inherits his uncle‘s villain business is already so fun!
This is so much fun. I loved almost everything about this. I will say having followed Mary Robinette Kowal‘s journey with her cat Elsie that Hera in this book is based on Hera doesn‘t quite have Elsie‘s same sass. But overall loved the talking cats and dolphins.
I adored this graphic novel about a cat who can appear out of nowhere, multiply, and be downright spooky. When a kitten briefly enters the story, it steals the spotlight but only briefly. The main character can only deal with “one” creepy kitty! It did take me some time to get the format, reading from the end to the beginning. Just tonight I realized I should have been reading the pages similarly, left to right. Lesson learned. ⬇️
