pickPowerful, evocative, mythical, and smart, this mixture of essays and poetry will have me thinking for a long time. Mouton is the Poet Laureate of Houston and she shares stories of her time there but also growing up in Los Angeles and Michigan. There is a real sense of place and memory in this book and the #audio is fantastic, narrated by the author. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
pickI got really hooked into these characters 3 books ago. That feeling has not diminished with book 4. I will continue reading these.

This is book #1 in the series A Rachel McKenzie Mystery. Ellen Hargreaves is found dead on the island of Uist in the Upper Hebrides. Her death was ruled an accident but Rachel is convinced there's more to the story. I loved the setting of the isle of Uist and the characters of Rachel and Selena. It was a fast-paced mystery that I read until the final page and surprised ending.
pickThis was a very cute, steamy paranormal rom-com about a witch who accidentally summons a demon. There were some very cute scenes, and I liked her friend crew (I‘m guessing they get their own books?). I didn‘t love the moms who were very cringy and over the top mean to the point of caricatures. Still a fun read. 4⭐️

This is the 3rd book in the Cornwall Murder Mystery. It was a very enjoyable read and I loved the Cornish setting. The main characters DI Lauren Pengally and DS Matt Price work very well together and I really liked watching how their friendship is growing.
