I finished this last week and have been so busy I forgot to post 🤦🏼. I love this as a spinoff of the Tradd Street series (which is great) and am looking forward to more in the series! Moving to New Orleans, the perfect places for spirits and those sensitive to them, we see a young woman grappling with making her own way in the world while coming to terms with the gifts of those close to her. Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a wonderful historical women's fiction. It's a female prospective of WWI.
It showed how those on the front lines scarificed during WWI. The medics, the stretcher-bearers, and those that were wounded made this story come to life. Eleanor, as ever, only wanted to be a doctor.
Her father let her sit the exam just to get her brother to study harder, never thinking she would be the doctor. It's sit during WWI, so you have to remember, ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read women were supposed to be seen not heard and to stay home. Eleanor knows that's not for her and does everything she can to become the doctor she is meant to be.

😊 Happy Reading 😊

I'm about halfway through this one and it's good, but not gripping my attention the way I'd hoped.

Eggs Lovely cover 💜💚 14mo

I ended 2023 by completing the Tradd Street series by reading these last 2 books. 🥳
I love the setting of the historic homes in Charleston South Carolina & the paranormal elements to these cozy mysteries.
The Christmas Spirits book was disappointing. It dragged for me and one of the mysteries was left open-to be resolved in the next book 🤮

Fortunately, the final book was much better: the mysteries were interesting & all was nicely tied up.

TheSpineView Fantastic!🤩📖📚 1y
CoffeeNBooks I just got the first in this series from the library- it looks great! I love when mystery and the paranormal are combined! 1y
Andrew65 Excellent 👏👏👏 1y

👻 if it were not Halloween I would choose the Yorkshire Murder Series by JR Ellis, but The Shop on Royal Street features the supernatural.
👻 Tonight i will be answering the door & giving out candy.👻🎃
