Apologies for being behind. With this post, I am just about caught up. A lot happens in these closing chapters. Butch has made it through the transition. Phury and Z make more of his size. They comment that in order to be a brother your mother must be a Chosen. Butch is reveling in his new body and he finally gets to hunt lessers. Rhage witnesses Butch inhale a lesser and he is freaked out. Van Dean watches all this go down and reports back...

TheSpineView ....to Mr. X who realizes that he misinterpreted the prophecy. V is having a breakdown and jumps off the balcony of his condo intending to kill himself. At the last minute he dematerializes back to the balcony. Butch hugs V and assures him it will be OK. V is glowing during the hug and it heals Butch. The Scribe Virgin appears and explains what is happening. She proclaims a new Era and names Butch the Destroyer. Marissa is not happy. She doesn't 4mo

He also explains how it is for bonded males. John gets to meet Layla. Marissa backs her things and moves to SafePlace. Butch is back at ZeroSum and he runs into Lash who 4mo

TheSpineView Is dealing drugs. Rehv takes Lash to his parents and we discover that his father is on the council. The fore-lesser shows up at ZeroSum and requests to be killed by Butch. Turns out that Butch can't absorb him so instead he stabs him sending him back to the Omega. The Omega and the Scribe Virgin have a confrontation and the Scribe Virgin sends the Omega packing. TheSpineView ...using Rehv. There is an exception made for Butch and he is accepted into the Brotherhood. Afterwards, Marissa meets Butch at the mansion and says she wants Butch to be her hellren. The ceremony is done that evening. Butch and Marissa go visit Butch's mother. We learn that Butch had a different family. No surprise there. I could have done without all the drama between Butch and Marissa but I am glad they are finally together. I am excited to read more about John. He story is still several books away. julesG Marissa being against Butch fighting felt a tiny bit hypocritical. She wanted to get out from under Havers' thumb but Butch going out with the brothers isn't okay? 4mo

PageShifter Of course Butch changed! That went smoothly, I was wondering how he would get Marissa and he was suddenly a vampire. I didn't like how Marissa acted, I don't like when someone tells to another how to live their life. Practically she didn't let Butch to do what he wanted to do or he would loose Marissa. That's rough. I bet Lash isn't continuing the training! I am curious to know why Butch couldn't absorb X. 4w
