I haven‘t done much #audiosouping lately as I‘ve been in a bit of a cooking/blogging funk, but today I‘m working on a chowdery fish & potato soup for my foodie book club.
Got this audiobook on the cheap as Molly Harper usually makes me laugh. This novella (from another collection but made as a separate Audible Original) was cute & fun-although not that funny. Amanda Ronconi did her usual great narration & it was a fun little standalone listen.
Started #audiosouping to this one today as I didn‘t get to it last month. I am about 1.5 hours in & finding it a bit slow but I am hoping it will ramp up as I have heard good things.
Today‘s soup is a one-pot vegan, korma-style Curry & Rice Soup with Tofu & Chickpeas. Still in the beginning stages in this pic, it smells amazing. Finished soup pics coming later.
#Audiosouping to this one again today & hoping to finish it up today. I‘m afraid this isn‘t a very pretty soup.😆 It‘s a lentil soup recipe from 97 Orchard Street where a ringwurst (like a knackwurst or kielbasa) is cooked in the soup & I am modifying the recipe to make it vegan & using plant-based sausages that I browned first. It‘s for my virtual foodie book club & at least it smells really good! Finished soup pics later. #kitchenexperiments

For National #ListeningDay I did some of my usual Sunday #audiosouping to the tagged book. I‘m about 2/3 through it & it‘s not bad. The other two books are next up in my audio book #TBR & I am not sure which I‘ll listen to next.
The soup is a smoked salmon bisque I am tossing together to use up some smoked salmon & heavy cream. Finished soup pic coming later.
I wasn‘t feeling like making soup today so instead of #audiosouping I did some #audioblogging & just did a roundup of 8 fruit soups for summer. Some are sweet, some are savory. There‘s a link in comments below to the post with the recipe links.
I think this audiobook popped up in the Audible Plus catalogue that comes with membership so I started listening to it the other day. I‘m only about 90 minutes in but so far it‘s keeping my attention.
Finally making soup again after a couple of weeks of being lazy & #audiosouping to this one. I love Amber Ruffin & am loving her sister. This is by turns funny & also very disturbing but I wish I could see all the photos they are talking about.
The soup is Ina Garten‘s Zucchini Vichyssoise which can be eaten hot or cold—good, because it a humid one today.😓 Finished soup pic coming later.
So happy to be #audiosouping to a new addition to the Mystic Bayou series by Molly Harper. I needed sometime light, snarky & funny today & Harper‘s books usually deliver & also catch me up on favorite characters.
Today‘s soup is a summery Cajun Shrimp Chowder, a Pinterest find that just sounded good this weekend. Finished chowder pic coming later. 😋🥣
Finished this up sort of #audiosouping making a quick cold cucumber soup with shrimp from Ina. Santino Fontana rocked the narration—he is why I must listen & not read these books. Dark, twisty & between Keynes‘ writing & Fontana‘s spot on narration, you can‘t help but root for sociopath Joe to get some happiness. A great addition to the series, this hit somewhere in the middle for me between You & Hidden Bodies. Good set up for the next book too.
