Weaponxgirl @BookwormM your so right on that! I found this interesting as I'm in the uk and if it happened to me I'd probably be OK as I know I'd get free healthcare but reading how her family are struggling just broke my heart. 7y

Kelican17 Love this book. I was amazed at the story of Henrietta. I truly think this should be required reading in schools... history, science, ethics, medical classes- take your pick. We owe so much to this woman. 7y

A friend‘s daughter just had a baby boy. She used to be good friends with our son when they grew up. So I got a gift....our son‘s favorite childhood book. I may just know it by heart as I certainly read it enough.

Cathythoughts I don‘t know. I just couldn‘t get into it. But mostly everyone loved it. 🤷🏻‍♀️. I really tried & I never bail on a bookclub read as a rule. Maybe I should try again some time. We‘ll see. It wasn‘t for me at the time .... 7y
