Just for the Summer | Abby Jimenez

I wanted a GOOD rom-com and this hit the spot. Both Emma and Justin‘s characters were very complex. Their “relationship curse” brought them together and their humor made the sparks fly. It‘s very witty with lots of family drama, the baggage is deep and it almost overshoots the story of Justin and Emma, but it actually brings them together and helps them grow. Book #34 in 2024

marleed I love this card! 2w
Allthebookclubs Thank you!! ☺️ 2w
Kar2b I love Abby‘s books because they feature real life problems and not made up conflict. This was my favorite of hers so far! 5d
Allthebookclubs @Kar2b go read The Rule Book by Sarah Adams, you like it. The jobs of the main characters are not super realistic for most people, but the way the story develops and ends was good! 3d

Super late reading and August review🤷🏽‍♀️
I enjoyed this story about Annabel and her process to become an adult. In few pages we will see Annabel working, taking care of her family and her romance. It was Interesting maybe with a cheesy too easy ending but lovely. In less that 200 pages you see all these well developed characters and story. 3.5⭐️I love those Dean Street Press covers/editions😍

A fitting second book for the Magisterium series. Just enough trails to follow into the upcoming books. #34-2023

Book #34
3/5
I was really disappointed by this one. Michaelides' novel, The Silent Patient, was one of my favourites a few years back. The resolution to this one was just too contrived for my liking. Too many questions left unanswered.

I like his voice on the Calm app, so I gave this a try. I don‘t worship celebrities or care much about tabloids, but I do enjoy a good story teller. The beginning was quite egotistic and his childhood is not something that should be bragged about; domestic violence, more violence, and a pissing contest about damn near everything. I found myself rolling my eyes constantly. He‘s nuts. Book #34 in 2023

Had to get this one in for March! A quick audiobook - 3 hours - but so entertaining to me. I have to laugh at the girls in their skirts & blouses and their sweater sets. The story is fun and there are bad guys and twists! #34 #BookSpin 3 BFC23 #SERIESLOVE2023 #MarchMadness #MiddleGradeMarch #ReadySetRead #Buzzword2023 #ReadtheStates
