I think the cover & title are awful, but I actually loved learning more about the enneagram in this book. It's full of humor & hard truths & helped me understand some of my own challenges & others' choices better. The structure worked well introducing each type & explaining how their childhood, work, relationship, etc. can be affected by their type. It wraps up each one w/ a list of ways they can work on spiritual growth & healthy decision making.

I‘m new to learning about the enneagram and this was a great introduction.
It really is a joy to spend time thinking about the different types and where you and your people fall over the 9 types. I found it very interesting and will probably continue to think about it for some time.
The only problem I had with it was that I would‘ve preferred the spirituality parts to be spirituality without Christianity.

Wow! I learned so much reading this book. My number and wing are so me! I am a four wing five. Do you know your enneagram number, what it means and your wing? I would love to know. Book 30/150.

A fascinating look at the Enneagram and enlightening to look at the various personality types and the different ways God made us. A perfect first book diving into this topic. I loved the way each number on the Enneagram was organized in the book and found the breakdown of how each personality manifests itself depending on environment, relationship, stress, security, and childhood so helpful!

Tagged book is my main read. I‘m gonna say 😁—it leans a little more Christian than I personally prefer, but it‘s an excellent introduction to Enneagram stuff and I definitely want to read more. Thanks for the tag, @BayouGirl85 I‘ll tag @Schnoebs !

BayouGirl85 That book looks interesting. 🤔 4y
UnRuLee @BayouGirl85 I‘m brand new to Enneagram stuff but it‘s pretty fascinating! I love personality types (my aunt used to do MBTI testing for companies, so I LOVE Meyers-Briggs) and I feel like the Enneagram could be useful in my spiritual coaching. 4y
BayouGirl85 @UnRuLee Absolutely I am between a 2 and 9. I feel like that matches me to the “T“. LOL 4y
UnRuLee @BayouGirl85 I AM ALSO A 2! Hahahaha. And boy howdy does it peg me. 4y

This is an excellent, down to Earth, not to heady approach to the Enneagram. It is the book I might hand to someone who wants to learn about it. It is helpful to know your number as you can skip right to that chapter, but a good overview for those just learning. Every enneagram teacher has different labels for the numbers, so be ready. There is a separate study guide.

Mtroiano Yes! I really liked this one! 5y

1. I haven‘t, but I love to read about places I have been or am going.

2. I tend to get the things I want to learn about from the books I read, so I can‘t think of something I haven‘t read yet.

3. This past year, learning about the Enneagram has helped me to understand me—and the people around me—better. I haven‘t read the tagged book yet, but I‘ve heard it‘s one of the best; I‘m hoping to read it soon.

First time ever working with the #enneagram. We are spending our next staff retreat day focused on it and I was reading this in preparation. Turns out I am a pretty obvious number 9 and I believe I have an 8 wing. #teachersoflitsy

This was my second go-round with the Enneagram and I enjoyed it much more this time. This book is an accessible entry point to the spiritual dimensions of personality types, and how to apply the Enneagram's insights to recognizing your own patterns, tendencies, and flaws.

Exceptional book! Having started becoming more interested in the Enneagram, this booked helped not only learn about myself, but also my loved ones. It provided in-depth relatable understanding for each of the 9 numbers. As well, it provided a Christian aspect to them. Which can be comforting if you are of that faith or spiritual. I would honestly recommend to everyone, Christian or not.

Forever obsessed with the Enneagram. I‘ve read this book before (1 with a strong 9 wing here), but it was good reading this a second time and learning about my best friend (a 4) and my husband (a 5). This book lays out the types succinctly and gives good direction on how to love each type, whether at work or in relationships. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book 29/30 for #BFCR2

Finishing up breakfast and about to dive into these books. My church is doing an enneagram class once a month. One chapter every month so I‘m reading the first chapter before the first class this afternoon. I don‘t really put a whole lot of stock in this sort of thing but I think it‘s a good way to get to know people.

A Christian women‘s group and I just read this together as a way to get to know one another and ourselves better. I had experienced the Enneagram before, but this book gives a concise synopsis and is easy to read and understand. The enneagram can be a great tool to get to know ourselves and others better and this book explains it well.

The publisher sent me a ton of ARC's of this book since our team was going to do this as a group study, but not everyone decided to participate and some left the team. There are 3 up for grabs Littens! I just ask you cover shipping ($5)

Please note this book is the Enneagram from a Christian perspective but you could have a good experience either way!

The Road Back to You manages to dig deep into Enneagram concepts while conveying a sense of discussing the whole thing over Iced Tea in the Author's kitchen. It's presented in a coversational, relaxed style, but there is a lot of information being shared. This is a book that not only helps us understand ourselves a bit better, but can give us a better understanding of and compassion for others.
