I joined a new book club last night!
One of the things I missed most when we moved 3 years ago was my book club.
This club reads all kinds of romance and Slightly Dangerous was a good one.
Often funny, a little unexpected, and very real emotions.
This is the last book in a series of six and I liked it so well, I'm considering picking up the other five.
I started a new puzzle to finish this one on audio. I know I read some of Balogh‘s other Slightlys but missed this one. I LOVED the first part during the house party. Forced proximity is always a favorite trope of mine in romance. I lost some steam at the end. Despite understanding where her feelings came from, I thought Christine was a bit too mean and hard on Wulfric. He tried and tried and she kept assuming and insulting him. #romantsy
Friday I inadvertently ended up spending several hours finishing this puzzle because I got hooked on my audio. I was having trouble finding my audio groove and I have never listened to a romance before (I wasn‘t sure how I would feel having someone read the intimate scenes to me) but both @Chachic and @Angieville were recommending this one and the only format I could get my hands on immediately was audio. And suddenly I‘m halfway through the book.
I'm not a huge fan of Regency romances, I enjoy them while I'm reading them but they all tend to blur together in my mind afterwards. I normally don't read one unless it comes highly recommended, which was the case with this book. Lucy Parker was very enthusiastic in recommending this Pride & Prejudice retelling, I have to thank her for it because I stayed up until early morning to read this in one go.
(Continued in comments)
Not much of a historical romance reader but this Pride and Prejudice retelling came highly recommended by one of my favorite authors, Lucy Parker.

Here's what I've been doing for two days! So far Slightly Dangerous is the best. I love Wulf. I love how Mary B is able to portray sunny characters and make them sexy (harder than you might think!). But super-alpha, lonely Wulf? Fabulous!! #romantsy #historicalromance.
I am sitting here with a silly smile on my face as I listen to this book narrated by Rosalyn Landor, which was released today.....I am enjoying every moment of her bringing to life this beloved book!
New record i Just read it in less than a day. Just loved it, a perfect ending to a wonderful collection, i recomend it to everyone who loves romance 😊❤
Final book of the Bedwin collection, finally in my hands. I was specially anxious about these one ? "All of London is abuzz over the imminent arrival of Wulfric Bedwyn, the reclusive, cold-as-ice Duke of Bewcastle, at the most glittering social event of the season. Some whisper of a tragic love affair. Others say he is so aloof and passionless that not even the greatest beauty could capture his attention...."
