The book was okey,
the amount of times they almost died was something else …🥲
But ngl had some really good written spice in it

My second time reading this novel this year was even better than the first. I‘ve been on a mission to reread this entire series to prepare for the newest release. I cannot talk highly enough about The Crowns of Nyaxia series!!! #holidaybookdragons #wintergames2024

So good! Our heroes deal with the fallout from the Kejari, there is a lot of push and pull as they adapt to their new roles
I was ready for them to stop fighting & start 🌶️
The ending was a bit of a frenzy but it all made perfect sense with what they had been building to
This story is a “duet” but I‘m excited to read more from this world (&Mische‘s story)
To set expectations: it‘s more fantasy than romantasy, but the relationship is a key feature
Couldn‘t resist starting this.
"You have nothing but me, and yet, you'd let me go?"
"I have nothing but you," he murmured. "So I am letting you go." ?

I used to think I didn‘t like Romantasy. Apparently, I just hadn‘t found the right book/author/series. I loved this conclusion to Oraya and Raihn‘s story. I found the character, romance, and story arcs believable (as much as fantasy can be believable). Just gorgeous.
I loved this second part!! Quite possibly more than the first. This may be due to the way Oraya‘s trauma and depression takes a while for her to recover from. That Raihan regretted what happened. What hit me was the communication between Raihan explaining how his first book sacrifice was meant to be good, but it just added to Oraya‘s trauma. That hit hard. Emotional connection was so well written and spread out.

I found the sequel less enjoyable possibly because some of the magic became a bit much for me. Oraya‘s grief at the death of Vincent seemed too much, particularly given the revelations regarding the way he had treated her. And the ending was somewhat obvious and inevitable.
I don‘t think I will continue the series.
Oraya and Raihn become bonded in surprising circumstances that has Oraya questioning all of her decisions during the Kejari trials from the first book. Raihn who is now King of the Nightborn vampires struggles to hold his position with even his allies questioning his ability to lead. Will Oraya and Raihn find the common ground they held during the trials to achieve the kingdom they so desperately desire🤷🏻♀️
Eeeeeek! I'm so glad I finally have this book in my hands! It's the second book in this duology, and the ending for the first book was such a cliffhanger it nearly killed me! 🤭💕📚
This was an amazing sequel in the Nyaxia universe! Such a fun romantasy that I binged! Can‘t wait to read the novella and see what the third book in the series entails soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed this duology. I especially liked this book over the first one.
Oraya's character growth while she struggled with her feelings towards her father, and Raihn was so well written.
I love that we get chapters from Raihn's point of view in this one plus his back story.
It was fast-paced and hard to put down.
I‘m the second book of this series, we return to Oraya and Rhain‘s story. I overall enjoyed this book but I was slightly disappointed in Oraya‘s character. In the 1st, she‘s a viper- relentless, ruthless, and vengeful. For the first 200 pages of this book, she was just…sad! Where WAS she? I was happier in the later half of the book when she began to find herself again. 3.5/5 stars! I‘ll be reading the next with higher hopes to salvage a 5 star!
The Ashes & The Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent
4 ★
Bittersweet is the first thing that comes to mind when reading The Ashes & The Star-Cursed King. Book two picks up immediately where book one left off and is packed with so much emotion and action from start to finish. The character relationships are so raw and real, it‘s impossible not to feel attached.
Spoiler: I‘m not ready for Raihn and Oraya‘s story to end 😭
