Another fun read with Agatha Raisin and the gang. Oh the ups and downs with James. I enjoyed the mystery and was a lovely read in the garden.

I cannot believe I‘m now caught up with the series! Much better than the last one, this 34th in the series finds Agatha at an archery contest and a body in the woods. I liked the side characters in this one, and her unveil at the end seems so like Agatha Christie. Now to wait for the next in the series!

This is the low end of the pick scale for me. I‘ve loved the Agatha Raisin series and have enjoyed some of the ones written by RW Green after Beaton‘s death. Occasionally one of them is a dud, and that describes this one. The characters we are introduced to here aren‘t that memorable; neither is the plot. It‘s just an okay book. I did like where Agatha ends up in her relationship with James at the end. Started Good Night, Mr. Wodehouse. #audiowalk

I‘m rarely in a domestic/cooking mood, but I was today. I made spaghetti sauce, baked ziti, barbecue sauce, and cooked a pork roast for pulled pork sandwiches. If I‘m in this same mood tomorrow, I might make chili and cornbread, beans & rice, and a pie. I did get out for a #audiowalk in spite of all the cooking. I‘m still not loving this book, so far it‘s just okay.

Bklover I definitely wish we were neighbors! Yum! 1y
KathyWheeler @Bklover 😄. My husband really enjoys these moods. I‘m a decent cook, but I have to be in a mood to do much of it. 1y

The latest Agatha Raisin is my new #audiowalk book. I think I liked these books and Agatha better before she established her PI agency. I‘m not sure why as I do like the new characters that move allowed for. I generally dislike James Lacey, but I do have some sympathy for him in this book.

When an arrow hits a body of a local landowner in the woods, Agatha is convinced the man was murdered. DCI Wilkes believes that Agatha is the prime suspect. Determined to find the real killer Agatha launches her own investigation. This is a lovely cozy mystery and a real fun read. It also has some humor that kept me reading until the very end.

EadieB The ending was a good one and Mr. R. W. Green did a great job filling in for M. C. Beaton who has passed away. I will continue to read Agatha Raisin in the future. 1y

The 34th book in the Agatha Raisin Cozy Mystery Series. Agatha is how I want to be. She's bold, intelligent, and doesn't care about putting people in their place, even if it's Chief Constable Wilkins.

Agatha is at a fair, when she comes across Sir Godfrey in the woods. Soon she is involved in a murder, and is butting heads with Winslow. She's his number one suspect, and informs her to stay out of the police investigation. ⬇️

MonicaLoves2Read Well, if you have read any Agatha Raisin books, you know that's the wrong thing to say😂. On top of a murder investigation, Agatha is dealing with her ex-husband, her friend Roy, and John her beau. She has her hands full.

M C. Beaton has passed away and now R. W. Green is writing this series. He has come to finally know the old Agatha and I couldn't be happier. He had me laughing, and relaxing with this read.

Tentative Publishing Date:
September 19, 2023

Thanks to Netgalley, St. Martin's Press and Minotaur Books for the E-ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

😊 Happy Reading 😊
