I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.

Something freaky's going on with Sunshine's new house... there's the chill that wraps itself around her bones, the giggling she can hear in the dead of night, and then the strange shadows that lurk in her photographs.
As things become more frightening and dangerous, and the giggles she hears turn to sobs and screams, Sunshine has no choice but to accept what she is.

I remember first hearing about this book when Paige McKenzie appeared on the Today Show in 2015 to talk about it and the YouTube videos that inspired the book. Four years later I finally picked it up. Started off a bit slow but the action built and it got to the point where I couldn‘t put it down. Look forward to reading the remaining in the series. #TeamStoker #scarathlon #ScaryScavengerHunt prompt matte cover +11 pts

I really enjoyed this book although it's listed as a young adult read. Reading some scenes literally left me with goosebumps. I think anyone who reads the first two pages will be left wanting more!

jdiehr Have you watched her videos on YouTube?? 6y
la_rose_noire @jdiehr No, I haven't! But I definitely will!!🤩 6y

I wanted to like this book but I didn't. It seemed very forced and parts were too silly to be believable. I had DNFed it in the past, and I'm thinking it should have stayed that way. Basic writing bores me. The character development and plot were ok but overall the book lacks passion.

jdiehr I had high hopes for this one, too. The videos were fun... 6y

Though this book was a little slow to get into for me, maybe it was my mood more than anything, because I needed up loving this book. As out of this world as it was, it still felt kind of real. Like if it was to happen, this is how it would go down.

Is this what you had in mind for #sunshine? #MayBookFlowers

This trilogy is the first thing that came to mind when I thought of #sunshine. I really enjoyed the first book. I've listened to the first half of the second book, but I'll probably read the second half. I already have my May TBR somewhat selected in my head, so I might add books 2 and 3 to my June TBR. 😀

Immediate action, fast-paced, high intensity writing. Gothic feel. What's not to love?

Not exactly the creepy book that I was looking for, but it was still interesting. I know that I'm definitely going to be continuing on with this series.

There wasn't anything new or groundbreaking here, but it was very enjoyable. I definitely have a few students in mind who are going to love it- especially when I show them the video series on YouTube that goes along with it!

This book was honestly one of my favorite books I've ever read. It can relate to so many people with the many key points in the book. 👍🏼👍🏼

I didn't get around to reviewing this, but found it in kindle daily deals. Quick and "fun" read for YA and adults alike. I hear there's a sequel...
