Loved Atalanta‘s perspective of traveling with the Argonauts & all that came after. The beginning was a bit dry, but I appreciated the depiction of the different phases of her life & the achievements she made & resilience displayed. Touched on many well known myths.

I enjoy this author's female centric Greek myth retellings. Atalanta was the only woman on the quest to acquire the golden fleece. Before they encountered Medea. It's highly entertaining.

I tend to immediately admire anyone who takes on ancient Greek myth, not just providing an English translation, but telling it in their own words, from a different angle, with their own artistic flair/license. However, I'm starting to think that the children's version/summaries I first read as a kid will never be matched by any version I read as an adult (Song of Achilles being a notable exception), 1/?

A beautiful Greek Mythology retelling!

This was a refreshing novel based in Greek mythology. It was the same feeling I got from reading Ariadne. The author does a great job of taking lesser known women in Greek myths and turning them into fascinating tales. I knew very little about Atalanta or Jason and the Argonauts and enjoyed this one greatly.

I liked the main character and the episodic structure of the book. For some reason it took me forever to read / listen to this relatively short book - and I can‘t put my finger on why I wasn‘t fully engaged. A light pick.

I loved this book. Atalanta is such a cool character and the way Artemis was written felt so true to who she is.

My favorite of Saints' books so far. Really a fabulous read.

Atalanta is such a strong, courageous, and proud woman. I loved this story about her and how she wouldn't let any God, Goddess, or man define her worth. She was there for herself and loved her independence. She is definitely one to look up to.

This is my first read by Jennifer Saint, but it will not be my last 🏹

For me a so-so because I was so stressed out about the prophecy regarding Atalanta that I had to skip to the end to find out what happened. I loved Atalanta herself though.

Here is my June TBR! I rarely prepare one since I'm such a mood reader but with all the challenges and other things going on its making it easier for me to stick to a set list. My nightstand shelf I bought specifically for this can't handle all these books hahaha, they keep falling over.

Yay, my library hold finally came in. I'm super excited to read this one after I finish The Sunken City Trilogy.

I think this might be my favorite of Saint‘s mythology retellings! This one focuses on the life of the titular character- abandoned as an infant to be raised by bears, blessed & taught by Artemis, & the only female Argonaut, Atalanta‘s story is one adventure after the next! The great audio performance makes this a pleasure to listen to! I wasn‘t super familiar with the story going in, so there were surprises for me! Can‘t wait to see what‘s next!
